Pissa Club Enters Its Most Active Year Yet

The Pissa Club community has grown significantly in 2025, with membership numbers surpassing previous records and the quality and volume of submitted reviews reaching new highs. This update covers all the significant developments in the Pissa Club world since the start of the year.

New Ranking Methodology Launched

Following extensive member consultation, Pissa Club has updated its ranking methodology for 2025. The new system places greater weight on consistency across multiple visits (previously underweighted), introduces a separate scoring dimension for value-for-money alongside absolute quality, and incorporates a new "discovery" category that specifically rewards innovative and unexpected pissa experiences. Member response to the new methodology has been strongly positive.

Regional Chapters Expanding

Pissa Club regional chapters have expanded into 15 new cities this year, including first-time chapters in Seoul, Istanbul, Lagos, and Ho Chi Minh City. These chapters host monthly local tastings, maintain regional leaderboards, and contribute reviews to the global database. The diversity of pissa cultures now represented in the Pissa Club community is unprecedented and has enriched the collective knowledge base enormously.

Review Verification Program

To maintain the integrity of the Pissa Club ranking system, a new review verification program has been introduced in 2025. All establishments ranked in the top 100 must now be reviewed by at least three verified Pissa Club members who have demonstrated consistent rating reliability. This addresses concerns about manipulation and ensures that top-ranked establishments genuinely deserve their positions.

Annual Awards Ceremony Preview

Planning is underway for the annual Pissa Club Awards Ceremony, to be held in Rome this autumn. The event will celebrate the year's highest-rated pissa establishments, honor outstanding community contributors, and present the inaugural Pissa Innovation Award to a maker who has made an exceptional contribution to advancing the craft. Tickets for the ceremony will be available to Pissa Club members from next month.
